Michael Scarlett is a highly accomplished security and leadership professional with more than 25 years of experience leading teams and managing complex security operations in high-stakes environments. He currently serves as a Deployed Security Professional at Sandia National Laboratories, where he develops and implements innovative security strategies that align with federal requirements while strengthening customer security performance and delivering sustainable solutions.

Michael is also the Founder and CEO of JMX Risk Management Consultants, where he provides strategic leadership and expertise in risk management, armed and unarmed security operations, executive and high-net-worth protection, and fire life safety services.

Earlier in his career, Michael served as Assistant Director of Security at G4S Secure Solutions, where he led and trained a team of 45 security professionals responsible for protecting more than 2.2 million square feet of facilities and critical assets. Through his leadership, he improved operational efficiency, enhanced training programs, and increased team productivity and readiness.

Michael’s career is further strengthened by more than 25 years of military service and 12 years in law enforcement, where he developed expertise in crisis response, strategic decision-making, and leadership under pressure. His service has been recognized with numerous honors, including the Bronze Star Medal and the Meritorious Service Medal.

He holds a Doctor of Christian Leadership from Texas Seminary Christian University, a Master’s in Public Safety Leadership and Emergency Management from Capella University, and a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice Homeland Security from Grantham University.
